Hi all,

I am trying to reinstall my windows xp family. While running the
reinstallation, my computer shutdown. Upon restart it restarted the
reinstallation (a lot of "re"'s happening.) I thought it odd but... then
it shut down again, and also a third time. Now my computer has lost some
files and the restart files are corrupted.

My questions are:
1. Where can i find these files?
2. How can i load?
3. After that, do i reinstall as usual?

The error messages C:\FIX\SETUP\SETUP.EXE, as well as many which begin with
the "FIX\Q323255.EXE -u -z -q"

the numbers after the Q change, so I assume these are the missing files or
the error markers but I'm just guessing.
HELP
Thanks
Lex

Lex,
First of all when you Re-Installed Windows Xp, Did you go through with the
formating of the HD?
And what file system did you establish during the Re-Install NTSF / FAT32 ?
If you can describe to me in short of how you are trying to install, and
what it is asking you during the install of Windows Xp, I might be able to
get to the Root of your problem quickly...

Going by the path you give here: "C:\FIX\SETUP\SETUP.EXE"
your repair routine is not standard Windows. This looks like something that
has been provided by your OEM. Suggest contacting them or researching their
online resources for more information about how their FIX\SETUP routine
should be used and how to troubleshoot any problems you may run into when
using it.

Lex,
As Sharon said and I do agree with her of not a "standard" Windows error
unless Lex, you have had; Microsoft SQL Server 2000 on this system at one
point of time...
You know Lex can you Remeber when your computer was up running did you have
a problem with it keeping the right time???
Let me Know!
