hi,

Explorer wont let me open a new link in a new window. the window opens then
nothing, not even an error message. The address bar remains blank, the page
remains blank, and there is no sign of the computer "thinking".

Please help! Its a pain in the ass for me not having this feature. Thanks

Try this:
1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded"
message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of
the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file
names below):
Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

If nothing works, take a look at these:

Hope this helps,

Debbie

OK. what other thins do you have in your bags of tricks? I
have tried all the itmes below, Went to the web sites
mentioned below Tried enter the web stie in :trusted
sites", I even tried copying a more current dated
oleaut32.dll from another computer into my
Windows/system32 folder. NADA!. And the microsoft
support pages do not add anything of value. I have been
everywhere.

I have been forced to netscape also--maybe i will have to
netscape as my default brower. The new version is pretty
good.

Try Restarting the computer.
