trouble opening in jpeg

Hi, when i try to open anything in jpeg it opens for a split second, then goes straight to the printer and starts to print any ideas

if i right click any files photos etc which are in jpeg it begins with print instead of open

Which application would you normally use to view JPEGs, and does this problem occur with any other file formats?
