I have recently started using ADSL broadband, and have
been trying to network two computers, one with Windows XP
HE and the other with Windows 98 SE. I have a broadband
router and the ADSL modem connected to the Ethernet port
on the computer with Windows XP, and the internet can be
accessed from this computer no problem. The second
computer with Windows 98 SE is connected to the broadband
router but so far I have not been able to access the
internet from this computer. This is my first attempt at
networking and was led to believe it should be relatively
simple, but so far it has proved otherwise. Any help that
anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Gavin, I am not sure how you have it hooked up, both
computers should be hooked to the router through a lan
cable or coax which ever router you got, the router should
then be connected to the adsl modem, you have to program
the router for the information needed for the connection
and you have to make sure both ports you are accessing on
the router is open.
