Trouble migrating PST file from Outlook 2000 to 2003

So I tried importting my PST file into a newly installed Outlook 2000
(the file's permissions are ok), and while all the personal fdolders
seemed to be created in 2003, they are all empty--no contacts, no
calendar entries. I tried the operation several times (I tried
importing, I tried opening), but to no avail. I tried importing the
file into my office pc that has Outook '03 on it, and it worked. Any
ideas why I'm having trouble? Thanks.
 
As posted daily niether Import or Export is the way to migrate OL data

OL2k cannot read an OL2003 pst
You would first need, in 2003, to create a new pst in old format, copy any
data to it, then close both it and OL
Then copy the pst to a memory stick
On the other PC copy from Memory stick to eg MY Documents, then open OL and
File>Open>Personal Folders.....browse to the location
 
I kind of garbled my explanation. What I want to do is take an OL 2000
PST file (it has all my contacts and calendar data; no email, though)
and migrate to 2003, not the other way around. I only have the PST
file from OL 2000; I don't have access anymore to that machine. Now
when I try to open the PST in a fresh install of OL 2003, I get all
the folders, but no data's in them. What can I do to retrieve my
contacts and calendar?

Okay, I actually figured it out. Now, however, I'm stuck with two
calendars:

- Calendar (the dominant, and unremovable one)
- Calendar1 (the calendar with my my stuff in it.)

How can I merge these two?

Open Calendar1 and copy the data in it to Calendar.

That didn't exactly work. When I right-clicked on Calendar1, and
selected "Copy Calendar1", I told it to copy to Calendar, but it
didn't copy the contents into Calendar. What I got was this:

- Calendar
- Calendar1
-Calendar1

I had this problem with Contacts, but it's easy to select all of
contacts and simply paste it. How do I select and paste the contents
of an entire calendar as opposed to the calendar folder itself?

What part of "open Calendar1" do you not understand? You cannot copy the

Display the source folder in a table view like "By Category", press CTRL-A
to select all the items in it, then drag-and-drop to the default Calendar or
click Edit>Copy (or Move) to Folder, specifying the deffault Calendar as the
destination.

Thanks, appreciate the help. But you "MVP-Outlook" types seem quite
bitchy and angry. A lot of people who are not as so deeply involved in
Outlook as you are will be asking you the same questions over and
over. And sometimes they'll miss a part of your terse explanations.
(Example: "Open Calendar1 and copy the data in it to Calendar" was
just not exactly enough). That's just how it is. If you don't have
the temperament for it, or if this frustrates you, you prolly
shouldn't be doing this, you know? That's said, thanks again for your
help.
