Hello, I have trouble installing Windows from the boot dvd.
After I choose what language I want to install in, I get an message saying
"No device drivers found", and then an empty list box pops up. I can't get
past that point as the Next button is grayed out.

"A more detailed description of the error message:
A required cd/dvd drive device is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk,
cd,dvd or usb flash drive, please insert it now."

So I gather there something wrong with the dvd rom drivers, they work
perfectly fine with XP, but if I try to browse to the location of the driver
files, the installation program still can't find them.

I'm having same prob with OEM vista 64 bit install (original disc). My drive
is an NEC DV-5500A. Only drivers available are in the form of a hex file, and
an exe file - vista is looking for an .inf file. No response (so far) from
Sony/NEC.
So my 12 yr old says - but I wanted XP!
