Trouble installing Acrobat Reader 8.1

I have tried several times to download and install the latest version of AR.
I have tried in normal and in safe mode and it always gets to about 92%,
stops and then goes away after a few minutes. I get no error message of any
type until I try to open AR at which time I get an error message that it has
encountered a problem and must close. I have uninstalled and downloaded
again all with the same results.

Any thoughts. I have seen this same topic with earlier version of AR, but
do not see anything with this version.

Have a look at http://www.pdfxviewer.com/ when you only want to read
pdf files.

Freeware and fast.
