trouble connection to remote database

Dear all,

I am having problems with connection to a remote Business Contact Mngr
database.
We have installed the database as isntructed in the "Deploying Outlook 2007
with Business Contact Manager in a Remote Database Configuration" document.

But when i try to to connect via my locat outlook i ger the following error
msg:
"cannon access the database server on computer %servername%".

However, I have connected to the same via SQL server management studio
express several times.

This does not make much sense to me and my team.

Kindly advice.
 
Bring up the SQL configuration manager and bring up the protocols for
MSSMLBIZ , ensure that TCP /IP is enabled.

Also go to the TCP / IP properties > IP address tab , scroll down the list
and ensure that the TCP port is set to 5356
