Suddenly in the last week or so....pages that I have been connecting to are
now giving me the message that it is unable to connect the server......make
sure my ISP settings are correct. Have not changed anything and/or loaded
anything new on my system<w2k> and <IE6sp1> but I can go next door and get
on the same pages......it gives me the option to automatically detect my
network settings but that is not even working.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry

See other posts (join in their thread if you like) because a lot of people
have very similar problems.

Please keep trying the utilities below (some infection might be the cause) ,
go tools>internet options>general tab>delete files button>ignore the pop-up
checkbox if you have any offline stuff you want to keep and go clear out
temp files.

If you try LSP-Fix and it works for you please post back and let us know,
this may be a quicker answer in future.

Important - LSP-Fix

Be aware that using either of these to actually remove spyware can result in
some programs refusing to work, in other words "Free" programs that you
downloaded on condition you accepted ads and so called "Research" may get
broken and you might want to uninstall them first. Some spyware actually
breaks Windows trying to force it's way in and you should arm yourself with
LSP-Fix before starting in case you lose internet connectivity.
