I think my computer has this virus because all search engine in IE no longer
work. I downloaded the removal tool from symantec but it said no virus
found? Anyone can help with removal of this virus.

Thanks

Alex

and deleted the IP adresses it specified in my "Hosts" file, and still not
search engines are working.
Ran virus scan and AD-Aware, still not working.

Check your AV dats are up-to-date, most (if not all) vendors have detection
for Qhosts or a removal tool

http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_100719.htm
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.qhosts.remova
l.tool.html
as a couple of examples.

Once you've done this, apply MS03-040 -
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/
bulletin/ms03-040.asp
(this url may wrap) - and this should prevent you from being infected again.
