Ken

I picked up a trojan and now none of my .exe programs
work. Is there anything I can do and I am ready to do a
reformat but am unsure as to how to do that.

Hi Ken,

What does your antivirus software say about the bug?

If it removed the bug, but not the damage it did, try resetting the .exe
file association defaults. Copy exe_fix.reg from
ftp://12.107.147.141/regfiles to your desktop. Double-click it and allow it
to merge with your registry. It should correct the problem immediately. If
it does not hold through a reboot, then the virus is still present, and you
have more work to do.

the site you showed but it gave me an error message that I
don't have privilige.

Hi,

Try the site again, the permissions were set incorrectly. If it still gives
you an error, email me direct at (e-mail address removed)

After you clean out the virus with Rick's help you
might want to invest a few $ for nortons firewall I get a
warning on this trojan (backdoor sub seven) all the time
and the firewall blocks it,It is well worth the $
