I had a file windows\system32\scrnsize.exe infected with a trojan virus.
Because it is a system file NAV can't repair it. I can delete it by booting
in safe mode but the question is how do I restore a single file like that
because the restore cd stores the files in a different format.
Bob May.

Hi Bob,

You don't want to restore it as that file IS the virus. Boot to Safe mode,
delete the file. Start/run regedit, and remove the string that loads it from
the right pane under one of these keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Then restart normally.
