Can anyone tell me how to sort this out? Something in my computer
fires up from time to time when I click on a perfectly innocent URL
and directs the browser to a porno site instead. Down at the bottom of
the browser in the taskbar it says ***Porno-Finder***.

I've run checks with NOD32 (up to date) and Ad-Aware SE but they find
nothing.

It's been there for a couple of months but the problem only crops up
from time to time.

Please tell me how to get rid of it!

Download HijackThis and create a Folder for it then run it and post the
output into a support forum.

The version of HijackThis you are running is very downlevel.
Update to the v1.99.1 version to delete the following nasties:
http://216.180.233.162/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe

Create a Folder to keep HijackThis backup logs in case something goes wrong.
You do NOT want HjackThis backup logs in the Temporary Folder that should be
cleaned out periodically nor all over your Desktop.

Depress the Windows key then e which will open Windows Explorer then
navigate to the C: hard drive and create a New Folder called HJT then move
HijackThis into this folder.

How on earth can you know ? I searched the whole message for a
clue. Maybe modern hijackthis are going commercial and have some kind
of tracker included ?
