I was running a AVG free addition scan of my hard drive and it detected
( Trojan Horse Backdoor.VB.8.AW in this file (C:\system volume
information\_restore
A popup said to remove this virus run AVG for windows. What and how do
I run AVG for windows? I am running windows XP Msn 9 __H.P. pc. I
needbig advice on how to get rid of the virus.
Thanks Richard.

AVG will not be able to delete this virus, because the System Volume
Information folder has highly restricted permissions, by default. Go to
Control Panel, System, System Restore. Turn System Restore off, reboot and
turn it back on. This flushes the old restore points and creates a new one.
