It seems that somehow, I have picked up a virus on my computer. But,
as the virus is specific to XP, it is more or less just a nuisance on my
WIndows 98 computer. I would like to know if there is a scanning
program of any kind that would seek and destroy (or at least identify)
ANY .dll file related to a virus, regardless of what OS it would do
damage to. Thanks. ;-Deano

All AV software looks and the fingerprints of an infector and don't care about the OS that
infector resides.

Please go to McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp) and/or Trend
(http://housecall.antivirus.com ) and perform and online scan of your 2 platforms and report
back your results.
