Do you have Library installed? It may be missing a needed .dll file,
atioops.dll -
many of the MMC 7.x versions had this fault. One of the side effects of
this is that it also seemed to prevent some of the apps from booting.
As a workaround, you can try simply not installing Library. In fact, it's
always worthwhile having a look when "Custom Install" is offered in an
installation and considering whether you need all the segments offered: with
MMC; I never install the CD player, for instance - I have better ones on my
system and it's a real file association hog.
Alternatively, to fix the problem (if that's what it is), if you go to the
RAGE3D forum (
http://www.rage3d.com/board/), you should be able to find a
thread on this; one of the posts also includes a download location for
atioops.dll and instructions for installing it.
