*another* one? Time to change my IM client methinks.
I don't think this one is a security vulnerability like "patch F"
released in February.
It is confusing, however, based on the website's contradictory
statements -
On the Downloads page(
http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/downloads/ ),
we see this:

Trillian Basic Patch H
Trillian 0.74 users should apply patch H to address a recently discovered
security vulnerability. You must be using 0.74 to use this patch.

On the News page (

we see this:
<quote>
08 March 2004 : Crash bug patches released
A patch is available for all version of Trillian and Trillian Pro to
address a recently discovered bug which may cause the software to crash at
a random time. This patch includes previously released patches.
» Trillian 0.74 Patch H (Free)
» Trillian Pro 1.0 Patch G
» Trillian Pro 2.0 Patch B
» 2.01x -> 2.012 Patch
Full releases which include the patch:
» Trillian 0.74H (Free)
» Trillian Pro 2.012
Thanks!

I tend to think that the blurb on the Downloads page is simply a leftover
from what was posted when "patch F" was released last month, and that
the info about the "crash bug" on the News page is accurate.
In support of this, I run Trillian on a Win98 PC, and although it runs
almost non-stop, I did notice that I would get a (recoverable) crash when I
did have occasion to completely exit Trillian. I tested this after
installing "patch H", and I have not been able to recreate the crash I was
getting before.
Later.
