Trigger playing automatically

I have a button that is set to play a song and do animations when it is clicked. On this same slide I have links to other files. If I click on the song button, the song plays great and the animations are perfect. But when I click on a link to another file and then return to this slide, the song plays automatically, and the animations do not play. It does not play automatically unless I clicked on it before I viewed the other files. I am running Windows XP and using the 2003 Viewer. Is this a bug or am I missing something? I don't see how it can play automatically if it is set to play "on click." I also have a similar problem with another slide where sounds are suppose to play automatically, but they do not always play when you return to the slide.
