Douglas F.

I have googled the newsgroups, etc. and there is a bug in ie6 that doesn't
show an image. In my case I have a bunch of bullet gifs. If I right click
on one of them and click 'Show Picture', they all light up. Is there a js,
css or something that can simulate the 'Show Picture'?

Hi Douglas :-)

You don't mention what version of Windows you are using, thus, I can only
guess at a solution. Try the following and see if it helps:

Try clearing the IE cache. IE>Tools>Internet Options>General>Delete files
tab (and
delete offline content.)

Go to Tools>Internet Options>click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box “Show Pictures”
is
ticked.

Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet Explorer

Zone Alarm Pro can block Images in IE

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low
2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low
3. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.

Make sure your .gifs are associated to Internet Explorer. Click on a .gif in
windows explorer, IE should open to display it.
To restore the default file association, go to
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm
Download, unzip and merge the REG file, "JPE/JPG/JPEG Association Fix"
Some image/graphics programs will change file associations.
