Recently someone introduced me to using the 'PrintScreen' key where it
captures a picture on your screen (used with the Alt Key), and than it can
be dropped into an application such as Microsoft Word using Ctrl-V.

This was something new to me and I am wondering where I might find other
tricks such as this for me to explore?

Anyone please?

These aren't really tricks. They are just part of getting to know your
operating system. I guess that anything that someone tells to another (that
he did not already know) would be considered a trick! Heck! there are
millions of tricks. You will get to know them as you use the applications
and read the help files! Books and magazine articles teach a lot also.

I ran across a person a few weeks ago. He had been using computers for about
10 years, yet didn't know anything about .zip files. WOW! That's a neat
trick, was his exact comment (-:

Guess he was hiding under a rock for all this time!

Subscribe to either PC Magazine or PC World or both. They run Windows
and Office Tips and Tricks type articles fairly often, plus the
Solutions section in PC Magazine and the Here's How section in PC World
each issue are good sources.

The odd thing about all the replies is that they fail to state the obvious. All such "tricks" can be found in your own help and supprt center under the start button. Once there type in windows shortcut keys and wow will you look at that they're all explained here. Magic eh? {:~)

But Leo needs the money, his appearances on with Regis and
Kathy (or whoever) plus Call For Help (on Tech TV) plus the
time "guesting" on The Screensavers just may not be enough.

You want judges who are or act like wild animals?? More
judges like Antonin Scalia, in other words?

What we want is an entire government that reads the
Constitution and the amendments and understands the
intentions of those who wrote and ratified the documents.

Words like "shall not" and "people" do have meanings that
should not be altered over-night in order to do something
different. I have attended many state and local public
hearings and watched C-SPAN and have noticed that
legislators often raise the issue of the constitutionality
of a proposed law. It is often then ignored with the
comment that the courts (Supreme Court) will strike it down
if it is illegal.

In Illinois many years ago they passed a new sales tax law,
that brought in millions of dollars to the state. It was
pointed out that the tax was being applied to products and
services in a manner that was unconstitutional. So they
passed the law anyway, because they wanted more money. The
State Supreme Court struck it down a year or two later and
the State offered a refund to all the millions who had paid
the tax, as long as they had a receipt that itemized the new
tax. Since most of the people did not have such a receipt,
almost none of the money was ever refunded. It was planned
all along to work that way.

My biggest gripe about GW Bush is that he signed the McCain
(RINO party*) Campaign Finance law because he deferred to
the Congress and Supreme Court to judge the law. So now the
First Amendment is void 60 days before an election.

And it wouldn't surprise me if all those millions went
to line the politicians pockets. Somewhat of a
tradition here in Illinois.

When I lived in Springfield I thought Illinois (Chicago) was
the home of the crooked politician, but then I heard about
Arkansas.
The Illinois Crime Commission Chairman was a guy name
Charles Cirigusa (sp?). He had proposed a gun law to "end
gun crime" (HB 710 back in the late 60's) which would have
banned all handguns with a barrel LESS than 12 inches long.
At that time the longest barrel on any handgun was the 11
7/8 45 Colt Buntline. A couple thousand people went to
testify against this bill at the committee hearing. This
was not popular with the committee, so they delayed the
scheduled time hoping we'd go home. They substituted several
other bills by Mr. Cirigusa (sp?), one of which was to
require the confiscation of cars, boats or other vehicles
used in the commission of a crime. Sounded OK in principle,
until a State Senator asked Mr. Cirigusa (sp?) "What about
stolen vehicles, used to rob a bank, I see no provision to
return the car to the owner?" Mr. Cirigusa (sp?) answered,
(and these are his exact word, I remember to this day) "Yes
Sir, that's because the car committed a crime."

They finally got around to the hearing on HB 710 after a
delay of 3 hours. The three members of the Crime Commission
staff testified for 45 minutes. Then the Chairman said that
in the interest of fairness the 2,000 people who had
traveled from all over the State (hundreds of miles) could
have 45 minutes total. We picked a handful of speakers, a
State Policed Officer, a housewife, a famous gun magazine
writer (Maj. Charles Nonte) and some others I don't recall.
In the end the bill died in committee.

<Top-Posted, Reactionary Rant Snipped>

For God's sake, man, I was making a JOKE. You spelled
"federal" as "feral" hence my reference to wild animals.
