Hi folks,

Any tips on resizing for me ??

The pics don't look near as good when they get resized. Also, they appear to be fuzzy or summat.
Will try again tomorrow.

Yup they is a bit fuzzy...Awesome scenery though...What software are you using for your re-sizing...?

I use a free download called Irfanview which I find OK. You can also use its Sharpen facility. Here is one of your pics before and after sharpening.

Hello captain zed.

Nice pictures in what looks to me an industralised setting.
Is it near you?

Hi MadX,

I used photo commander 7. Its ashampoo's latest piece of photo software (not free). I think i still need some insight or guidance though. There was a thing called the "Aspect ratio" lock and i didnt use it( i think) cos i didn't know what it was for.
I'm gonna post a heap of pics on flicker or summat when i get the bloody hang of it all.

Big question for everyone.....what is it that "makes" a really awesome photograph???

Its gonna be hard to beat those

lightning snaps of yours posted a few months back.

Hi Historian,

It used to be a small industrial village where i think they used the river Liffey for transport and utilities etc but as time moved on the industry kinda died out. They still have a couple of small engineering and stone works there where stuff is still hand made but the rest of the village has been modernised.
I will try and post a few more pics cos its a beautiful part of where i live.
It's the Weir in Lucan, Dublin.

Hi Nivrip.....i might try that irfanview out....i didnt realise pics could be "sharpened".

I'm a newbie at photography.....i will keep at it and post more pics whenever i can. Thanks for the input.:)
