I have Trend PC-cillin Internet Security 2007. When sending mail using
windows mail, Trend seems to block any large emails with attachments (I get
an SMTP server not responding error message), but let’s smaller emails
through fine. Once outgoing mail monitor is turned off all emails can be
sent fine. Does anyone know why this is and is there a way to turn outgoing
mail monitor on and be able to send all types of emails?

I use Trend PC-Cillin with Windows Mail and have no problems sending or
receiving large files.

Turn off e-mail scanning. You're still protected because you're not
uninstalling the AV software, just turning off a "feature" that is a
problem between MS and AV software.

Seems like your fix is simple: turn the darn mail monitor off!
