Trend Micro vs. Symantec AntiVirus (Norton)

I find it relatively irrelevant who has more market share... both have long
histories of providing reliable updates to both their engines and definition
files. Take a look at their policies on pricing, upgrades, warranty service
and determine which is best for you. I have used Symantec's product both at
home and at numerous jobs, and have had no problems with it.

I currently have NAV Corporate and am about to install an Exchange 2000
Server so I need to have something to protect it. I believe I understand
thing correctly that I'll need to add the Mail Security 4.0 MS Exchange as
well as the SMS MS Exchange 4.0 CD. With the number of users I have looks
like it will come to around $1,3000. The Trend Micro ScanMain Suite for
Exchange 2000 is about $1,500. Not that much different in price so I wanted
to check to see if anyone had an suggestion for one over the other.

Additional comments welcome and thanks Jake.

On the exchange end of things, I know of alot of providers that have gone
with the Sophos MailScan suite recently. Our current e-mail provider uses
it, as did the last company I worked for. Dunno what their pricing scheme
is, but you may wanna check them out too... it has worked pretty well in
both cases.

Not a prob, and good luck.

Trend all the way. Norton isn't the worst out there, but I don't like it
half so well as Trend's products. They come out with updates <snap> like
that, their stuff is simple to configure, etc....they're my preferred vendor
for all AV. NeatSuite is a bargain.

Note - the Exchange groups are always full of complaints about McAfee,
Norton - I have yet to see anyone post a problem with ScanMail or Sybari's
Antigen.
