All of a sudden Windows Defender has decided to question the presence on my
computer of Treesize's Uninstall program.
It calls it WinSoftware.WinAntiSpyware and gives an Alert Level of Medium
Further notes show:
============
Description:
This program has potentially unwanted behavior.
Advice:
Review the alert details to see why the software was detected. If you do not
like how the software operates or if you do not recognize and trust the
publisher, consider blocking or removing the software.
Resources:
regkey:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\UNINSTALL\TreeSize Free_is1
uninstall:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\UNINSTALL\TreeSize Free_is1
file:
C:\Program Files\JAM Software\TreeSize\unins000.exe
============
The "view more information" page says that it was discovered September 29,
2006 (so why do they only tell me now on November 23, 2006?), and that
Severity is Low. It gives no other information at all.
