Hi,

I have an issue with system tray.
When I reboot my XP, icons (randomly) should be in system tray but they
don't appear. I used this workaround (http://www.tech-pro.net/howto_013.html)
by disabling upnp services and this work now. But this workaround annoy me
because I have upnp devices on my network.
This issue seems to happen often.
Anyone have an idea to solve the problem, or a better workaround?

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried any of the other solutions described in that link? What
about leaving Upnp running but disabling the SSDP discovery service?

Hi Rock.

Sorry if I didn't try to disable only one service then another...It's very
very late here and I didn't go to bed yet :)

So...
When disabling only SSDP service, it seems to work fine. I reboot twice and
each time, all icons are in the tray.
What is the impact with disabling this service with an upnp network? Windows
discovers upnp devices only once or at each reboot?
