transparent icons

Last week we took our computer in to have some memory
added. That went fine, no problem.....except when I
turned it on the desktop transparent icon feature no
longer works. I went in and set the settings but still
they show up with color behind them. Can someone give me
some idea how to solve this problem?
 
Take it back to the people that added the memory and tell them to fix it.
They had to have screwed with something.

Also, memory is easy to add yourself.

ease of memory installation depends on motherboard design.
in my case, i have to remove the graphics card first then
install the memory. not hard to do but an example of a bad
design.
