Transparent Chart Backgrounds?

I'm inserting Excel charts into PP. Is there anyway to make the chart
backgrounds transparent?

When I set the border and area to "None" it turns the areas white
instead of transparent.

Thanks!

John

Is there any way to make the area/line transparent AFTER it's pasted
into PP? Maybe that's my problem.

The link was helpful in understanding colors, but I didn't see anything
on transparency. Did I miss something?!

I think I figured it out. I was setting the "Plot Area" to none. If I
change the "Chart Area" to none, it works. The problem was that I
couldn't select the "Chart Area" because the "Plot Area" was the same
size. If I toggle through the chart opjects with the tab key, I then
can select the "Chart Area" and set the color to none to get it to look
like I want.

Thanks for everyone's help!

I was thinking the "recolor" option would probably fix your issue, although
it wouldn't do actual transparency, no.

Glad to know what your resolution was, though. That one wouldn't have
occurred to me, but I have indeed run into it (same size chart and plot
area) before.
