Transparency of images

How would I make a image, with white backgroud be
transparent, and only that white background so that it
looks like it's cut out and pasted neatly, not just a box
with a picture in it?

Have a look at the 'Bitmap' class' 'MakeTransparent' method.

Do you use msnews.microsoft.com as news server?

Yes I do use msnews. I had to reset the list of newsgroups - got it now -
