Hi, can anyone help me?
I have somehow managed to click on an option that makes
all my drop down box's translucent. which would have been
fine but they are too translucent to see. and yes you've
guessed it! I cant remember how i did it to put it back
to normal.
does anybody know where i would have ticked the box? I
was sure it was looking in administrative tools at the
time , but i have looked there and cant find it now.

thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give.

wayne.

Try Start-Settings-control panel, click "system",
click "advanced", under "performance" click "settings"
and look for the box marked "show translucent selection
rectangle"...Make sure it is unchecked.

Let me know id that helps

thanks for trying frank, but that didnt help.

I remember that it was a list of boxs very similar to the
list of boxs that you just asked me to try but one of
the boxs enabled me to make the drop down lists (and
windows that i drag) translucent. i also seem to remember
being given the choice of how translucent i wanted it to
be.
i am 85% sure it was somewhere in administrative tools
because i was trying to put a password on the printer at
the time. andi just by chance i came accross the option
to tick the box to make the drop down lists translucent
thanks again anyway.
