I'm using Powerpoint with Windows 2000 on a Dell Latitude
to create self-study presentations packaged with
Powerpoint show. I can successfully create pps files,
then pack and go, and copy them to a CD. When playing
them on another PC with Powerpoint Player 97, objects are
missing from the slides - for example, a bulleted text box
will show only the bullet - no text. I'm using timed
transitions with a single sound object. The slides that
have problems are not complex - some only have 3 text
boxes. If I manually advance the slides during the
presentation, the objects appear as they should. I've
tried recreating the slides without effect. Adjusting
graphics hardware acceleration provides minimal
improvement. Got any ideas?
