Transitions Gone!?!?!?!?!

So I have made many movies before with no problems but now my Transition
options are gone and I only have 2 effects to choose from - any Idea what
happened or how I can fix this one?? I am so confused I have tried
re-installing but of course it does not work and I cannot uninstall the
application - someone please help.

Options:
1. Try system restore to a point when it worked.
2. Do a thorough virus check/disinfection. (AVG/ezTrust)
3. Do a thorough spyware/check/removal. (Adaware/SpywareBlaster/etc)
4. If these do not restore your transitions install XP Service Pack 2.
(266Mb).

Please report success/failure for others benefit.
