TransferText Output

When exporting data using the TransferText utility, I get
errors whenever I give the output file an extension other
than .txt, .csv, or one of the other standard text file
extensions.

Is it possible to have the output file named something
like output.xxx instead of output.txt? We would like it
to have a different extension because the output file gets
uploaded to another system which is expecting "xxx" as the
file extension.

While the articles may say Access 2000, it's true for all versions since
Access 97 SR2
