Transferspreadsheet

Hi,
I have implemented Transferspreadsheet method to import data into MS
Access from an spreadsheet, it is working fine. But is there any way
where in a end user would get a message saying " X no.of records
successfully iserted' when the spreadsheet is successfully loaded.
Like wise it should also throw a message saying "X no of records not
inserted" in case of failure.

This gives an example of how to tell the user how many records were appended
(added) or updated.

The problem with trying to say how many did NOT import is sort of like
asking: "How many of the crackers in that UN-OPENED box of crackers
are you not going to eat."

If the sheet cannot be imported then the number of records in the
sheet cannot be counted.

Now if you open the spreadsheet and only accept a certain number of
records then you can probably deduce the number of records NOT used.
But you have to be able to import all the records in the first place
in order to do the count. Remember also that when you import a
spreadsheet, it may - and quite frequently does - import blank records
(rows from the spreadsheet).
