Transferring to a new computer

Switching over to a new computer is a messy job. So is taking work from the
office computer to the home one. Files are squirreled away in unlikely
places. Just look where the mail storage folders for Outlook and Outlook
Express are.

Isn't there a transfer program which can quickly move across to a CD all the
files I've been working on and the messages I've received?

Thanks,

Tim

Your advice seems to be geared to Windows XP users. I have Windows 2000. How
do I the same with my OS? Thanks.

Just some after-thoughts:

If you're transferring from Windows 2000 to Windows XP, then the FAST utility
referenced by Schulman is the way to go.

If you're transferring from and to Windows 2000 systems, you'll have to do it
the hard way (with separate utilities).
