Transferring Outlook Express to Windows Mail

Just bought a new Gateway with Vista. Transferred my Outlook E-mail Account
to Windows Mail,but no Desktop Shortcut was created and I can not find where
I can accessmy new Windows Mail Account. I had Microsoft Office Outlook
installed,but I donotwant to use this e-mail account setup.Can you help?

How did you transfer the account?

Don't you have an email button on the Start menu?

Click Start and type winmail.exe in the box right apve the Start orb.
 
Go to Control Panel \ Default Programs and make WinMail default. Then see
if there is a shortcut for it in the start menu. If not, then see Frank's
suggestion.

Then go to Tools | Accounts | Add | Mail.
