Does anyone know if you can transfer or import macros from microsoft
word from one computer to another....or if you reload your computer, do
you have to re-record them all, or can you import them somehow. I have
looked everywhere to find out how, and can't find anything to help me out.

Hi, Sarah. I know one way; the may be other and better ways, but I can tell
you this one. In the VBE (Alt+F11), right-click on a macro module. One
item on the menu that pops up is Export Module. Use this to save your macro
module somewhere. Put all these files on a disk and take them to the new
computer, or save them for back up. To load, insert your disk and copy the
files to some folder. Go into the Word VBE, right-click on the macro
modules, and select Import Files.

Macros are stored in templates. By default, it is the template in which the
macro was written - sadly this is usually normal.dot. You can copy the
template over to the new computer and then in Word use the Organizer to copy
the macros to your new normal.dot (or whichever template you want them in).

Heck Sarah, you're one step ahead of me. I can't even
figure out how to MAKE a macro in Word. It is soooooo
difficult. In WordPerfect it takes 10 seconds to make one
and 3 seconds to USE it. From what I see in Word, you may
as well just forget macros!!!
