I just purchased a new computer. The old one ran on 98
and the new on XP Pro. Is there a way to transfer my
Favorites in Internet Explorer from the old machine to the
new without rekeying them all in.

Thanks,

Wynn

You can find the Favorites (by default) in the WINDOWS\FAVORITES
folder on the old computer. Copy them to a floppy and then from here
to C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{username}\FAVROITES on the Windows XP
computer.

Just be careful that you don't end up with Favorites as a subfolder to
Favorites in your new computer... like I did.

Thorsten, any reason that he can't use IE \ file menu \ import and
export?

No, but I find it easier to copy. I have a desktop and a laptop here
and synchronize the Favorites on both machines with a simple XCOPY
batch every day without any problem.
