Transferring from one computer to another

I created a mm2 file on my home computer. I backed up all files (including
the images I used to create the movie and the audio clips and the .mswmm
file) to another computer.

Now when I open the .mswmm file on the new computer the file opens
incorrectly. All of the title slides and transitions show up, but the
pictures and audio are missing. In place of the pictures are just a bunch of
x's as if the program can't find the pictures.

Please help, I don't want to creat the whole movie again.

Thanks Papa,

I tried this on a few files, in each case I located the file and the
following error occured.

The file you selected doesn't match the original file closely enough to be
used as a replacement. Either try a different file or delete the missing
clips and reimport the file you wish to use.

Can you offer any help?

Thanks Papa,

I followed your advice. I tried this on several red x's and each time I was
able to locate the exact file, unfortunately, instead of finding the file and
placing it in the movie, the following error showed up:

The file you selected doesn't match the original file closely enough to be
used as a replacement. Either try a different file or replace the missing
clips and reimport the file you wish to use.

Can you help any further?

If the method of transfering the WMV / JPG / ETC files from one machine to
another was burning them directly to CD-R and then copying from the CD-R to
the new machine MM will not reconnect to the files. Yes this is a pain.

To allow MM to reconnect to the WMV / JPG / ETC files on the new machine --
go back to the old machine and copy them all into a "Compressed (zipped)
Folder" i.e. Right-Click on the white space in the explorer folder when the
files are stored (My Videos for example) Select "New->Compressed (zipped)
Folder", give the folder a name like "My files.zip" and then copy the needed
files into the compressed folder. Then burn the ".Zip" files to CD-R and
take them to the new machine and use the "Extract All" - Right-Click command
to expand the files into the right folder on the new machine. Transfered
this way MM should be able to reconnect to the files on the new machine.
