I'm finally ditching WIN98SE for Vista.
Now the problems will begin.....
- Can't use Easy Transfer cable - not compat w/98
- Can't use any cable - not compat w/Vista
so I guess I'll be burning CD's - no DVD on 98 machine.

My questions are:
- Will the wizard tell/show me what to burn from old to new?
- Or is there a list somewhere?
- Also, is there a list of what programs work in Vista?
Reason being is because I no longer have installation discs for a number of
programs on the 98 machine that I'd like to run on the Vista one by enclosing
the HD & attach via USB.

TIA to all

How about a $10 ethernet card in each machine and a crossover cable?

Programs will most likekly need to be re-installed.
