You left out one small item in your question which is how the contacts are
currently stored for the employee that left. In the interests of time and to
minimize back and forth messages (and assuming that you have access to the
ex-emp's contact data) - process would be one of the following:
If using Exchange:
1 - For the contact who is to receive the contacts, open up the ex-employee
mailbox in the profile as a delegate account (will need Exch admin to enable
permission to be able to complete this on target employee's machine)
2 - Copy contacts from ex-emp's contact list to current contact list
3 - Remove delegate account from profile
4 - proceed as usual
If you have access to ex-emp's PST file (not using Exchange)
1- Copy PST file to new recipient's machine (remove read-only attribute if
req'd - i.e. if copied from a CD/DVD)
2 - Open PST file
3 - Copy contacts from ex-emp's PST file to current contact list
4 - Close PST file from step #2
5 - proceed as usual
If contact info is any other format that Outlook recognizes
1 - Use Outlook import function (if no custom form or user-defined fields
involved)
OR
2 - Need 3rd party import product if custom form or user-defined fields are
used (
