I would like to transfer several Distribution Lists from XP Prof., 2002
Outlook to VISTA HP, Windows Mail.

The common format that I’ve tried is csv and it works except for all but the
Distribution Lists.

These DL’s are large and it would be pain to rebuid.

Groups are probably like they were in Windows Address Book, not supported
nor imported. None of mine were imported so I figure nothing changed except
there is a lot less you can do with Contacts.

I doubt there is any way to do this with Windows Mail.
You'd have more chance of success by using Outlook
in Vista.

I like Outlook but I only have version 2002 and it has a serious problem with
VISTA. I t doesn't retain email passwords so you have to reenter them each
time. That's a problem for someone with six accounts. MS is dumping 2002
Outlook in May and think they already have.

Can you think of any way to copy the DL's to disc and manually install on
Widows mail?

Sorry, I have no expertise when it comes to Windows Contacts.
It's not really a Windows Mail issue since Contacts and Mail
are separate programs. You might be able to buy a cheap copy
of Outlook/Office 2003 on eBay.
