Transferring Data Base from one PC to another

I know this has to be simple, but I just cannot make this
happen.
My Data base has no records entered and therefore is
small in size 1.76MB. I want to put it onto another PC
that is not connected to the Internet, so emailing is
out. I have put it on a CD, but when I open it on the
other PC it is Read Only. I am not talking about trying
to read it from the CD; I copy it to the PC first but
still Read Only. It is compacted and although I can get
the option to Zip any other files on my PC, Access files
do not have that option when right clicked. What am I
missing that must be right under my nose ?!?!?!?

Suze,

The CD is a read-only medium once it's burnt, and therefore all the files on
it are set to read-only. When you copy the file form the CD to the HDD of a
PC, it maintains the read-only property. What you need to do is, once you
have copied the file on the HDD, locate it through Windows Explorer (or My
Computer), right-click on it, select Properties and uncheck the read-only
check box. That will solve your problem.

HTH,
Nikos
