transfering video(HELP)

Hi, just hoping someone can tell me what hardware and software I would
need, and how to go about this: I have some old camcorder tapes in
VHS-C format that I would like to get on to my computer so I can save
them onto cd, and/or be able to play them in media player or such.
Please, if there is a way to do this anyone.......TIA ZED
