Transfering Outlook data to a new computer - Receiving Date Unavailable

I just exported the data in my Outlook 2000 folders in an old computer and
then imported it to Outlook 07 in my new computer. The newly imported data
does not have the original date attached as to when the message was
received. Is there a way to keep the receiving date attached to the message?

Thanks

Never export/import to transfer data between one Outlook and another.
Instead, simple copy the original PST. See this:

Thanks for your help. I used the information that you gave and the process
woked fine. I backed up the file, transferred it to my new computer, and
opened the file in Outlook 07. A minor hitch and not a big problem: When I
opened the new backup file as suggested, I now have two personal folders in
outlook. Is there a way to delete the defult personal folder which I won't
be using.

Thanks again

Open each folder in the old PST, select all of the contents with CTRL-A,
then copy that with right-click, drag-and-drop or Edit>Copy to the
corresponding default folder. View the old calendar in a table view in
order to use CTRL-A. When all copying is done, right-click to old PST and
choose Close.

Thank you again Brian.

I actually opened the Outlook program and dragged and dropped my customed
named folders into the new Outlook personal files, and then opened up those
with the same name and dragged and dropped the individual messages to the
default personal folders file. I then right clicked and closed the duplicate
personal file as you suggested. Everything seems to have worked fine. Once
again thanks for your help.
