im trying to get music from my brother's laptop onto my main desktop
computer, how can this be achieved?

Let's see,
-use a network connection between the two, share the folder on the laptop,
connect to the shared folder from the desktop and copy/paste
-on the laptop, burn a cd with on it the files representing the music
-from the laptop send many e-mails to an e-mail account used on the desktop
and attach a music file to each e-mail
-split up each music file into smaller pieces so they fit on a floppy, copy
the pieces onto multiple floppies, copy them back on the desktop and join
the pieces together again

Now why do I get the feeling that was not what you meant?

Of course you meant, how do I get the sound of the music files played on my
