I am wondering if there is a way or a free program that will allow me to
transfer music from a CD to my computer without having to put the CD in
everytime that I want to listen to it. (My computer went down so I am tring
to put all my music that I had on burned CD's back on my computer?
You'll need to decide on a codec (AAC, MP3, etc.) and a bitrate. AAC is
supported on the iPod and a few other players, while MP3 is supported on ALL
portable players.
192Kbps AAC yields the best quality with the smallest file size, in my opinion.
At 192Kbps, each minute of audio will require 1.5MB of hard drive space.
iTunes - very easy to use, excellent AAC encoder, poor MP3 encoder. It's also
an audio "jukebox" [FREE]

RealPlayer 10.5 - easy to use, excellent AAC encoder, limited MP3 encoding in
free version, RP is a multimedia jukebox and can play nearly any codec on the
market. [FREE - "Plus version is a one-time $19.95 fee]

Windows Media Player 10 - Similar to RP, but has limited codec support. I don't
use it so I can't comment on it. I've never been impressed with previous
versions. [FREE]

CDex is an audio ripper and converter but not a jukebox. [FREE]
