seem to figure out how to transfer the data to a dvd? She burned it ot a cd
and then played it back on the computer but it was all green and distorted.
Cn you help me with this she is so frustrated and has put in so much work and
time into this.

The normal process is for Movie project to be saved & closed and reopened in
Windows DVD maker

First, the file should be saved in a movie format...
..avi or .wmv. Once you have the clips saved in a
folder on your hard drive...you will need DVD
Authoring software to create the DVD. Some
possibles would be Nero, Roxio, Adobe Premiere
Elements. Ulead Video Studio, ProShow Gold,
WinDVD, DVD SlideShow Builder, etc...

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Tick...'Best Quality For My Computer'
Next/
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

of Vista.

My WinXP system came with "Sonic MyDVD LE."

It works well for me.

My WinXP system came with "Sonic MyDVD LE."
can you add Titles and chapters?

It can make menus that appear when the DVD is put into the player. There
can be several levels of menus.

WMM can add titles; don't need Sonic for that.

The "LE" version that came pre-installed on my PC is a "light" version.
Sonic wants to sell the "Plus" version. "Plus" can do "chapter points" and
several other features:
Create DVD+VR discs
Create and import Dolby Digital audio
Arrange menu buttons manually
Fit-to-DVD
Integrated video editor
Chapter point creation and editing
Slideshow creation and editing
Multi-copy burning

How might you add a title? - i seem to be missing something here

One way using WMM:

Select someplace in the time line

Click the command button that says "Tasks." If the "Movie Tasks"
sidebar doesn't appear on the left, click there again.

In the "Movie Tasks" panel, under "Edit Movie" click
"Make titles or credits"

There are lots of choices available.

For more details, look up "Titles" in WMM's built-in Help.

(I have WMM v5.1.)

Tools > Titles and credits

5.1 is not the WMM version number, but is the Windows XP version nunber.

Look down 4 lines on the Help>About screen to see the WMM version number of
2.1xxx

But you are right about looking in Help>Index "title".
