answer by now.
How was the file burned to the CD...is it a CDRW and if it is what program
did you use to burn the file.
What is the file?? what is its extension?? Do you have the same program on
BOTH machines.
I have a 4mb memory stick that I use to transfer files between 4
computer...2 are XP and 2 are Vista.
The program that created the file is installed on all 4 computers.
At home I have a small network setup that I use to transfer files from a
Vista system to another Vista system or to a XP system.
how do you go from XP to Vista?
If you mean how to change XP into Vista then you would need to go out and
buy an upgrade edition of Vista
and install it on your system.. like any other operating system.
OR buy a Retail Version of any flavor of Vista(except Basic) and using the
DVD install it on your system, letting it format your hard drive and install
new. This will result in the loss of every file on your HD...so be sure to
back up your saved work and be sure to have the CD's for every program
that you wish to reinstall. As well as the drivers for every piece of
Hardware on your system.
Of course 1st you need to verify that your system is capable of running
Vista
Aren't Computers fun!!
