I am trying to put a web file into a folder, both in My
Documents. Was told by AOL to first put the file into
Notepad which I did. How do I get the file from Notepad
into the My Documents folder? I tried to open My
Documents through file menu to use save as. The Notepad
disappeared. How do I do this? Your help is appreciated.

First, never ever put your email address into a newsgroup like this.
Spammers "harvest" emails from here. You've already done it, so your
email has already been harvested and not much now that you can do about
stopping the spam.

You most likely are using AOL's web browser. I don't use that or AOL.
But surely there is a better way than involving Notepad. I don't know
though.

Oncce you have put into Notepad the text you wish to save (and Notepad
only saves text), then Menu: File/Save and in the left panel you'll see
an icon which changes teh current directory to "My Documents" and there
you can save the file.

PS. AOL doens't do you any favours by giving you clunky/non-standard
software and ways to do things with you computer. Unless you have a
reason to keep using AOL, consider changing to a normal ISP. You'll
likely save money and get a better internet experience.
