transfered files from Me to Xp don't work

After i was able to transfer files from windows me to
windows xp by using a parrell connection, i haven't been
able to get any of my transfered programs to work.
Example, in VB6 if i make any changes it will say error
and close, and in other programs they just won't work. I
have tried to change the compatability by changing it
under the property window, but even that doesn't work. I
need help and suggestions, thank you.

It sounds like you are copying the executable program file from ME to XP.
You cannot just copy programs from one computer to the other. You need to
install the program on the new computer. This means you will need the
program's installation and setup files.
